ClipForge Privacy Policy

ClipForge is a personal tool that runs on its author's computer. It is not a service offered to third parties and has no external users.

Data it uses

• YouTube (Google): with the youtube.upload and youtube.readonly scopes, it uploads videos to the author's channel and reads the statistics (views, likes, comments) of those videos.
• Instagram (Meta): publishes Reels to the author's professional account and reads their metrics.
• TikTok: publishes videos to the author's own TikTok account (TikTok API for Business or the Content Posting API) and reads basic account information needed to do so.

Where it is stored

Access tokens and metrics are stored only on the author's computer (local files and a SQLite database). They are not sent to any server, except to each platform's official API to perform the actions above. To publish on TikTok, each video file is placed on this website for a few minutes so TikTok can download it, and is deleted right after.

Sharing

ClipForge does not sell, share or transfer any user data from Google, Meta or TikTok. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

Access can be revoked at any time from your Google account settings or each platform's connected-apps settings, and by deleting ClipForge's secrets/ folder.
